Mrutyunjay Suar

Mrutyunjay Suar, PhD, in Molecular Microbiology at University of Delhi, India and post-doctorate position at Institute of Microbiology, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Serving as the Director of School of Biotechnology, KIIT University since June 2007. He also established the Technology Business Incubator at KIIT University, which is now nurturing more than 50 start-ups in the area Biotechnology, Med-tech, IoT, Electronics and IT. His research group works on Gut infection Biology especially on Salmonella. He has been mentoring 10 start-ups and raised grants and investment fund. He has published more than 50 peer reviewed research articles and filed 5 patents.

Surekha Routray

Surekha Routray

Surekha Routray is business woman with a love for science and a panache for words. She currently holds
the folio of Head Social Incubation and CSR at KIIT TBI and is an ardent promoter of Impact
entrepreneurs and is a strong advocator for women entrepreneurs. She has done her masters in
Business Administration and her M.S.in Risk and Insurance. With 9 years of corporate exposure in the
banking and insurance sector and 4 years in the academic sector, she brings with her a diverse range of
experience and exposure to the start up ecosystem. She is currently an integral part of the all the social
programs run by KIIT TBI ranging from capacity building to seed funding across a diverse cross section of
the society ranging from college students to mature entrepreneurs.
