Sakhnin College, due to its location in the center of the Galilee. The college seeks to prepare its graduates to become educators who respect, value and nurture cultural, linguistic and traditional values in the Arab community as is true within every nation, language and culture in the modern world.

Sakhnin Academic College trains educators, teachers and kindergarten teachers and grants them a B.Ed. and M.Ed. degrees in Education and or a teaching certificate. Students study within one of the following tracks and areas of specialization: Early Education; Special Education; Junior High School; Elementary Schools; Master’s degree in: management and organization of education systems, educational consulting, school-based assessment and special education; Academic Preparatory Program; Professional Development Center, studies toward a diploma and advanced study. Guidance in planning, building and career development of students.

Dr. Manal Yazbak Abu Ahmad

Dr. Manal Yazbak Abu Ahmad is a lecturer and pedagogical supervisor in the English Department at Sakhnin Teacher’s College, the coordinator of the TEC International Online Day, a member of the TEC Center and the coordinator of Access Micro-scholarship Program which is financed by the American Embassy. For nine years, she has been co-teaching a joint intergroup online learning course entitled “Dealing with Diversity” between the Arab students of Sakhnin College and Jewish students of David Yellin College in Jerusalem. Furthermore, she is an expert in teaching and executing collaborative learning strategies in an online multicultural environment. This is reflected in the courses she chairs – “Exploring Culture through English Literature”, which she teaches for 150 students with 5 different colleges in Israel, and “Global Understanding” which is run in conjunction with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (after her post doctorate year there). She is a member in the EU International DOIT TEMPUS project in which six syllabi for multicultural education was developed, EU CURE project on Active Citizenship and EU SILICE project for Social Innovations. Her research areas are dealing with diversity in Israel, changing attitudes, intergroup dialogues, and online collaboration.

Dr. Yaser Awad

Dr. Yaser Awad is the Vice-president for research, planning and strategic, head of the Unit for Advanced Studies, the Center for Professional Development, and pre-academic preparatory program, a lecturer and consultant research methodology at Sakhnin Teacher’s College, the coordinator of the EU International DOIT TEMPUS project and Erasmus+ project: EU CURE project on Active Citizenship, EU SILICE project for Social Innovations, EU PROTEACH for Promoting teachers’ success in their induction period, and EU Mobility of students and faculty staff with Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania. He coordinates the field of research at the college and the academic literacy among the students and faculty members.
Over the past seven years, he has developed a methodological infrastructure for the development of educational initiatives among teachers within the Center for Professional Development and social initiatives within the Center for Educational Guidance. Has experience in co-teaching. In the past year, he has been working on the development of pedagogic programs for instilling entrepreneurial thinking among teachers. He teaches courses in statistics, quantitative and qualitative research methods in the master’s degree.
He is a researcher in education with a cultural view, also in the field of equality. He is a member of several forums that promote civil equality between minority groups and majority state.
