Dear Partners. The IDC Herzliya SinnoLab team is pleased to host you at the closing conference of the joint project aimed to promote social entrepreneurship among the students, sponsored by SILICE  and Erasmus+. The conference will be held in our beautiful campus between 16.9.2019-19.9.2019. For your convenience, we have collected information about the city of Herzliya, various areas where you can stay and access to the campus. IDC’s team

Our city: Herzliya is an affluent city in the central coast of Israel, at the Northern part of the Tel Aviv District known for its robust start-up and entrepreneurial culture. In 2017 it had a population of 93,989.  Named after Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, Herzliya covers an area of 21.6 square kilometers (8.3 sq mi).  At its western municipal boundaries is Herzliya Pituah, one of Israel’s most affluent neighborhoods and home to numerous embassies, company headquarters, as well as prominent Israeli business people. Here is a link to a video we would like to share with you that Will give you a little glimpse of the city of Herzliya and its central hotels avenue.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTeJMkAnUa4

Where to stay: We recommend you stay in areas that are accessible to us by public transport. There are several bus lines that come close to the IDC. Please note that public transport in Israel requires the purchase of a multi-line ticket “Rav-Kav”.

On arrival to Israel, please notice that Ben-Gurion Airport has a multiline purchase position. The position is manned on Sunday to Thursday from 7 am to 11 pm and on Fridays from 7 am to 3 pm. It is the best option to buy the multi-line at the airport.

For your convenience, please see the attached link to an information page on how to reach us by public transport. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the “cambus” does not work during the time of your visit and therefore should not be relied on. Basically, the main convenient transport lines will be from the industrial area, the marina or the coastline and the main hotels in the city. https://www.idc.ac.il/en/pages/directions.aspx for further questions, please contact Galit Zvi: gzvi@idc.ac.il

See you soon, Adi, Galit, Rinat and Ronen IDC
